What are GC’s?

As you read my posts, you will probably notice many references to GC’s or God Coincidences. Just a little phrase I named to describe THOSE occasions…those incredible, jaw-dropping, eyes-filling-with-tears moments where you say WOWEE KA ZOWEE as you realize that God has been giving you the same verse, the same theme, the same information etc. over the course of a very short period of time – beating you over the head with it because:

1) you are just not getting it or paying attention

2) it’s super important. He wants you to understand!

3) or like me, always doubting myself that I really heard Him. He knows me so well that He knows I need MULTIPLE confirmations. And I love that He does that for me!

Some people would call these moments interesting, serendipitous, chance…uh coincidences…but of course, I believe that He has a plan and does it all on purpose.  I want to give credit where credit is due.

“Coincidence is great in the Providence of God.”

  1. I also like this one: “Coincidences are times God chooses to be anonymous.” 😉

    I call them God-things.

I feel a kindred spirit in you, the way you write and the way you process thoughts. Looking forward to reading more from you! 🙂

    • Some people may say I OVER process things & read too MUCH into things. 🙂 But I believe He IS involved in every one of those things I talk/write about. The more I believe, the more it happens!

      • Ohmygosh, people tell me the SAME THING!!! So much so, that I’m starting to wonder if they’re right and I second-guess everything I think is coming from God. I *think* God is at work in that particular area of my life though, so I’m looking forward to being more polished in that regard.

  2. So that’s what they’re called 🙂

  3. I love this–GC’s–YES!!

  4. Here is something you might like to read–it was definitely the hand of God.

“Los Angeles Department of Water and Power”

  5. My hubby & I refer to them as “God Stops” (as coined by Beth Moore). They’re those moments when God stops us in our tracks. We *have* to pay attention because it’s so obvious. I’m glad to know someone else has these as well. Thanks for sharing!
