I’ve been MIA for a few weeks. I’ve been working on a special study that is very emotionally draining….things I cannot blog about at this time….and I have nothing left over in my energy or time to even read blog posts, much less write them. So until I come out of this, my “visits” here on WordPress will be irregular.
But I came across this article on Facebook the other day that was so encouraging to me that I wanted to pass it along to someone else who may need to hear it:
“If God wants us to be in His will and to do His will, then why is knowing His will so difficult?”

Chrystal, I’ve been thinking of you so much. Praying for you in this journey. I know exactly the exhaustion you are talking about. You are loved, and always have been!
Thank you, Cheryl, for prayers & thoughts. I thought I had posted a comment on your blog, but I must not have hit enter….it’s been much more…Much.More….than I had thought it would be for me. I’m so ready for that last part – the good part – of it.
I just had a sense that there was more God would uncover for you. And I knew what he was asking you to venture into and journey through. You are a BRAVE woman. Most of us live our Christian lives deciding to not address the darkness, to turn our backs on it – and that would take care of it.
I think we are to walk away from darkness and toward the light, however, we often don’t realize where darkness has laid hold of our souls, those deep wounds, and we can’t walk away for we carry it deep within. In honesty I held onto it because I couldn’t understand the depth and scope of the darkness that happened to me and found a home in my broken heart.
I just led two women’s retreats this fall and the verse that encouraged me ended with this… “That you may know how far, wide, high and deep is the love of God towards you”
The “know” in this verse means experiential knowledge of his Love.
God simply said to me: “You must first know how far, wide, high and deep the wounds go – then, and then only, can you see me reach further, stretch wider, stand taller and plunge deeper than any wounds can go.”
I know you are in the midst of an exhausting work of the Spirit… But he is revealing a profound and personal knowledge to you…
You can then speak confidently of How FAR, WIDE, TALL AND BROAD is God’s love.
Keep on this heavy road friend… it will get lighter.
ah, Cheryl…..God is talking!!! GC, GC, GC!! On Monday, when I was “beating myself up” big time, God brought to my heart the song How Deep The Father’s Love For Us – especially the 1st lines:
How Deep The Father’s Love For Us
How Vast Beyond All Measure
That He Should Give His Only Son
And Make A WRETCH His TREASURE…this line/those words really spoke right to my heart where it was needed!
Praying for you. Keep seeking Him and serving Him well!! He loves you so…
