We have this hope as an anchor of the soul, firm and secure.
Hebrews 6:19
What a comforting verse! I came across it this morning in my reading and was instantly drawn to it.
Some people think of these synomyms of an anchor: confining, binding, constraining, controlling, etc.
But these synonyms fit an anchor (something used to hold something else securely) of the soul: safeguard, protection, support, comfort, defense, mainstay, pillar.
Amidst the storms of this life, I am so grateful for and comforted by the ANCHOR OF MY SOUL. Hold me securely, Lord.

I could not get my comment to post or “Like” – did you see WHERE He took the anchor? ” It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, 20 where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.” Jesus took our anchor before us into the Holy of Holies – beyond the veil – before the throne of God. That’s awesome! Thanks for the additional info. Also, I saw that my image wasn’t showing up so I re-did it. The image is so pertinent to me….to stay grounded, to be anchored by Him.
